Despite the fact that there is talk about the safety of transport and road traffic on all sides, many of us do not realize how big a challenge is to transport the fence. What should we know about this? Can each net be transported in the trunk of a passenger car or on its roof?
At the very beginning, it should be noted, that, in accordance with road traffic regulations, it is necessary to secure the load in such a way that not only does it not move around the entire cabin or the cargo space, which could change the center of gravity of the vehicle during sudden maneuvers and lead to its overturning, but also it did not pose a threat to other road users – therefore, it is not recommended to transport the fence on the vehicle roof!
How to transport?
Due to the dimensions of the fencing mesh, which is often over 2 meters high and is sold even in rolls of several dozen meters, transport by a passenger car would be impractical or even impossible!
The solution to the transport problem is either a suitable delivery truck or a cargo trailer, which is the most convenient way to place a rolled-up fence mesh and which does not affect the vehicle’s driving in any way.
Securing the load
We have already mentioned at the very beginning that in the safe transport of the fencing mesh, it is also important to secure it – the easiest way to do it is with the use of transport belts, but it is worth paying attention to whether they are not too tight – they can damage the mesh in this way. Also, any movement of the net on the floor, e.g. of a trailer, may damage it, such as breaching the protective layer in the PVC fencing net. Later this may result in the mesh rusting faster or its resistance to any other damage being reduced. Is it worth the risk?
